Student Debt is the largest kind of consumer debt in our country. Since Free college is not acceptable to GOP members, let's make student debt repayment 100% tax deductable. Just when college graduates are starting careers, opening businesses or getting married, buying homes and starting families, getting back dollars sent towards paying off student debt every spring would be a boost to the economy and would incentivize more High School Grads to go on to college. Win-win for lending intitutions as well.
Why is this important?
I have 2 sons (One an Architect in CA, One a doctor in NM.), and they are up to their eyeballs in student debt.
