Allow Dogs Off Leash at Memorial Park Until 10am
Currently, .dogs can be off-leash at Memorial Park until 8 am on weekdays and 9 am on the weekend. We, the undersigned, request that the San Anselmo Town Council change the morning off-leash time to 10 am. This change will allow dog owners to enjoy the park when it is lighter, warmer, and more convenient to dog owners' schedules (school drop-offs, etc.) but still at a time when virtually no one else is using this public park. The Memorial Park dog owner community appreciates your consideration.
Why is this important?
The current municipal code allowing dogs off-leash at the local park is overly restrictive. People are not able to enjoy their public park with their dog due to the limited times, and the park is basically empty in the time dogs are not allowed.
