Would you favor repeal of the law that bars the sale of diesel automobiles in Maine? In addition should emissions be calculated by the mile instead of by the gallon?
Why is this important?
Maine currently does not allow the sale of diesel cars for environmental reasons. This law was passed before the advent of low sulfur diesel and before the cars were getting great milage ( as much as 78mpg!) we need these vehicles. Right now emissions are calculated by the gallon and not by the miles traveled. If this were changed we would have access to these cost saving cars and it would help our environment
