Allow Y-S Classes to Elect Their Homecoming Maids
We ask that you adopt a policy regarding the election of homecoming maids, allowing for all students of each class to elect homecoming maids to represent their respective classes.
Why is this important?
My child attends Yellville-Summit High School, and I recently became aware that homecoming maids are elected solely by the sports teams (football team for football homecoming and both the female and male basketball teams for basketball homecoming). This is discriminatory and inequitable.
