With much of the nuclear programs at Hanford Nuclear Reservation in Washington state under investigation or discontinued, why not turn the government site into a solar and/or wind farm?
Why is this important?
Nuclear facilities run by our government are dangerous and outdated. Sustainable alternative energy is safer, cleaner, and supported by many people in the state. I've written legislative representatives, several US Presidents and Governors of our state explaining Hanford's background and availability in choosing this option. Hanford is costing our state billions to monitor. It was initially built on Native American Land. Converting Hanford is the only sane option which would insure a safe and secure future.
