The current qualifications to become President are to be a natural born citizen of the United States, a resident for 14 years, and 35 years of age or older.
We need to amend the qualifications to reflect the current day world.
In order to run for President, the potential candidate should, in addition to the current qualifications :
- release 10 years of their most current tax returns
- undergo a thorough investigation by the FBI
- undergo a psychological exam by two independent psychiatrists
- undergo a medical exam by two independent physicians
The above information must be released in full to the citizens of the United States for review.
Why is this important?
The world is a more dangerous place than it was when the Constitution was signed 232 years ago.
The citizens of our country have a right to know who they are voting for in advance. The information could prevent investigations into the President after they have been elected.
