In order to limit gridlock in Congress and the Senate, we wish to amend the constitution so that all items in a single piece of legislation must be "reasonably related." The mechanism for determining whether all items are reasonably related will be via a poll of 1000 random citizens who voted in the previous presidential election.
Why is this important?
Congress is gridlocked and even simple ideas cannot get through the legislative process. Our legislators frequently "poison" good bills with unrelated items to either get bad ideas through the process or to prevent good ideas from moving forward. Lets change the constitution so that all items in a single piece of legislation must be "reasonably related".
