Mitt Romney has proposed that North America can be energy independent. This includes drilling in ANWR and unregulated fraking. If we are this desperate, then not one drop of American oil should be sold on the world market. The Keystone pipeline takes tar sands to Texas to be refined and sold to foriegners. WE need that oil. Our preserved areas must be destroyed to fill our needs, then it should be nationalized for America only.
I suggest a $25,000/barrel fine for anyone caught stealing American energy, costing us more at the pump.
Energy companies want to destroy ANWR and make water undrinkable. America can be their only customer. That will make it easier on the wallet when we fill our cars.
Why is this important?
The Republicans have stated that we need to be energy independent, but then want to export our non-renewable energy supplies.
