Americans refuse the appointment of Steve Bannon
The American people will not stand idly by while President Elect Trump gives power to a prominent voice for the nationalist movement. We have worked too hard to improve and to repair the scourge of our racist past. We will not accept it for our future.
Why is this important?
Whole communities are living in fear of the racist fervor that was stoked by the rhetoric of the Trump campaign. To appoint someone who has run a publication which promoted nationalist ideas, as any part of the transitioning team, will confirm for us that the campaign is not about jobs but about race. I fear the ramifications from that confirmation.
