To: President Donald Trump, The United States House of Representatives, and The United States Senate

An Easier Economy

Recognizing that the United States presently has more oil than Saudi Arabia and more natural gas than the planet available through the use of hydraulic fracking, and commercially viable resources in public lands...

And that, Americans are sick of using declining wages, benefits, and longer hours to try and compete with China, India or Europe...

We the hereby petition the Congress, the Senate and the President, Democrats and Republicans, to stop acting like little kids over wedge and budgetary issues, quit screwing around with birth control, stop fighting over declining national wealth and go get more of it, by adopting this common sense national policy to bring a lot of money into the country so we can a competitive edge over world markets through energy and water prices and not falling wages.

1) We want the government to policies in place to lower the national consumption of petroleum and refined petroleum products by 50%, balancing our current use with our current production. Even if we all do not agree on global warming, we want bipartisan support of the President's efforts to increase efficiency and lower the domestic use of fossil fuels, particularly petroleum, wherever possible. We want continued investment in research for batteries and other technologies to improve both the cost and adoption of electric cars and trucks, and we want an even field for rail versus highways in populated areas, and other technologies to reduce domestic consumption.

2. We want the congress and the administration to agree to some compromise on the balanced budget, and have it be balanced within 4 years - like Bill Clinton and Newt Gingrich did.

3. We want the government to operate, through contractors, as is done in other nations, drilling and oil recovery in environmentally sensitive areas and to sell that oil on world markets to help further balance the budget, and to provide for basic services to help our people. We want the government, perhaps by using phony printed money from the federal reserve bank, offer loans for the development of private sector fracking, and pipelines to refineries to support it, for the development of additional export opportunities.

4. To finance and mandate the replacement all coal plants with nuclear power of a single standardized design. In the very least, TVA should be entirely nuclear, and electricity for the average American should be no more than 3-5 cents per kw, and 1 cent for manufacturers and data centers. These rates are achievable if the government makes low cost federal reserve loans to utility operators nationwide.

4) We also want investment in the research of using nuclear power plants for desalination. America has a huge and looming shortage of water problem that also undermines our competitiveness. Given that the UN and other greenies have said that the world overall is short on fresh water, setting ourselves up to be the only country on the block that has plenty of it is a pretty smart move.

5) Revenues from sales of federal oil, and baseload generation from TVA should be used to not expand entitlements but to provide short term help and long term investment in America's youth, and our future. These include some student loan debt forgiveness, neighborhood and parks construction, not just practical things but making our cities attractive so as to encourage the best and brightest from around the world to bring their brains, muscle and above all, capital, to the USA. We want cheap water, sidewalks fixed, street lights that work, schools that are not falling apart, beaches and forests that are not filled with trash, highways and bridges that actually get enduring fixes and parks where the swings aren't broken and pools actually open during the summer in American cities.

Dear Government, the USA has money, sitting in the ground. It has the capital, in the Federal Reserve, whose dollars are effectively backed by that oil. Let's go get that oil and gas, stop using so much of it ourselves, switch over to nuclear power, get our fiscal books in order, and start investing properly in America. With a richer quality of life in cities, a lower energy cost, America will be not a declining power, but the most competitive and safest spot on the planet to do business.

Why is this important?

This petition is for a national plan to lower domestic energy consumption through strict conservation, increase fossil and nuclear production, and then export that energy for money. Using the taxes from those sales, we would pay down America's debt, bring affordable water and energy back to our people, and then have an ongoing export surpluses in energy for the next 50-100 years.
