Please approve the request from American Airlines to transfer the current SEA-HND route authority held by Delta Airlines.
Why is this important?
American Airlines is asking the Department of Transportation to transfer one of two US to Tokyo-Haneda airport (HND) slots currently held by Delta Airlines, to American Airlines. Delta currently operates LAX-HND and SEA-HND. These routes were granted, and intended to be for, *daily* operations. Delta refuses to operate their SEA-HND flight on a daily basis, as they promised to do when awarded the route. American Airlines would welcome the opportunity to compete with Delta, head-to-head, in the Los Angeles to Tokyo-Haneda market.
We support the request to transfer the SEA-HND route authority held by Delta, to American Airlines for a new LAX-HND *daily* roundtrip.
