It's up to the Alabama Secretary of State to certify the results of Alabama's Senate Election. Doug Jones won. Secretary Merrill could certify as early as December 20th. But Merrill is a Republican and may drag his feet so Democrats have 1 less vote (Doug's) against the Republican Tax proposal. Let John Merrill know he should certify Doug Jones as soon as possible so he can take the U.S. Senate seat that Alabamians just elected him to!
Why is this important?
Because Merrill may drag his feet and delay Jones's seating the U.S. Senate when it is vital Jones be there, if at all possible, to help scuttle the present tax proposal by the GOP.
