Ask Costco to use cardboard, not plastic
Dear Craig Jelinek and Costco Board of Directors,
Please stop using plastics in your packaging and ask your suppliers to stop using plastic. Cardboard is a rigid source of packaging that is recyclable, biodegradable and compostable. There is no reason that an environmentally conscious company borne in the Northwest should be using food toxic, noncompostable plastics in their packaging.
Thank you.

Why is this important?
We are environmentally conscious mothers, grandmothers, and Costco members who are aware that for every ounce of plastic produced, between one and five ounces of greenhouse gases are made. As a company with roots in the Northwest, Costco is in the position to influence vendors to be more responsible to the health of members and their children.
