We must take the lead in fighting climate change since it is clear that President Trump will not. Ask Governor Kate Brown to join with Washington state, New York, and California to form the U.S. Climate Alliance to uphold the Paris climate agreement, a pact involving nearly 200 nations aimed at slowing the warming of the planet.
Why is this important?
It is appalling that our president has chosen a short-sighted policy of climate change denial in the face of urgent need for action to avoid irreparable damage to our planet. Thoughtful people agree that meaningful action to prevent harm to our planet will need to be local, as we cannot rely on our national government to act. Please join me in asking Governor Brown to join with New York, Washington state, and California in honoring the goals of the Paris climate agreement with local action!
