Why is this important?
Direct Action Everywhere (DxE) recently investigated a pig farm in Ontario and found mother pigs confined so tightly they could not turn around and were forced to lay in their own waste. They also found female pigs with horrific prolapses and baby piglets who were dead and dying. Many piglets were discarded like garbage.
While investigating the farm, the activists rescued Noel, a piglet who was in need of medical care. They rushed him to the vet and to sanctuary where he was nursed back to health and now lives safe, happy and free.
While Noel is now safe, the activists had to leave thousands of pigs behind. A complaint was submitted to the Ontario SPCA, citing extreme animal cruelty, but no action was taken. Sign the petition and ask the OSPCA to act now!
