The sale of Assault weapons and their ammunition must be stopped, for non-military use. Civilians should not have access to these guns or their ammunition. Those in possession of these weapons should be licensed, the guns registered, and any violation committed with these weapons WILL result in permanent loss of gun license.
Why is this important?
The recent events in schools, shopping centers, public assemblies have once again shown that there needs to be a significant NATIONAL reigning in on the sale and possession of assault weapons AND the amount of munitions an individual may purchase. This is not about hunting or personal safety. It is about weapons that should be limited to combat situations: rapid fire, repeating fire assault weapons.
