Stop the attack on railroad retirement. Over 100 years in the making and still going strong, lets build more not destroy.
Why is this important?
This retirement is a proven system, this retirement has been built for over 100 years over 36,000 days. The Railroad is the history of the movement of the United States, The reason why we are where we are today, and the blood, hard earned sweat and years of life it has taken from our American families. I am a Veteran, a fourth generation railroader and I know how hard the history of railroaders have worked and what they gave up for our security.
It is the system that us middle class have strived for our security, it's not that we are not willing to help but we have strength as a Union and is what America needs more of. We need to make more systems like railroad retirement not get rid of it for a short fix... Its like getting rid of the VA, is that next.
