Audit the Pentagon

How can an organization the size of the Pentagon not be audited? I watched the beginning of the Iraq war when a C-130 landed in the Baghdad airport with pallets of $100 bills. People were taking from that and stuffing the money into black garbage bags. I understand that shipment was $9 billion. Where's the accounting and accountability?

Unfortunately, I am convinced there was a lot of fraud, embezzlement and outright theft of taxpayers money on that. It's an example of the rich stealing from the poor. The Defense Department (DOD) must account for all they get. Also, if Republicans are looking to save money, they should stop the duplicative roles done by the DOD. Why do they need defense intelligence, when there is a whole agency devoted to that. It just means more wasteful coordination.

Why is this important?

We need to end the lack of Defense Department accountability.
