The Pre-1960 cars and trucks on the roads of Cuba are very unsafe and the accidents are injuring and killing the people of Cuba. The export of auto parts for humanitarian reasons would create a bond with Cuban citizens and the people of the United States knowing that we have concerns of their well-being.
Why is this important?
I have been to Cuba and seen first hand head on accidents caused by unsafe vehicles on the roads.
