Backyard Chickens for Corona, California
I support the keeping of urban backyard hens in Corona, California.
Why is this important?
The backyard chicken movement is spreading across the country. Well-informed citizens are demanding high-quality, locally grown food - not just fruits and vegetables, but eggs, milk, and meat as well. Permitting residents in urban and suburban areas to keep a small flock of hens allows citizens the opportunity to harvest fresh eggs to support a healthy, organic lifestyle. It also helps educate citizens on the origins of our food and provides the companionship of a different kind of pet.
Local cities such as Los Angeles, Pasadena, Monterey Park, Glendora, Chino, Rancho Cucamonga, and San Diego allow urban backyard chickens, as well as many other cities nationwide.
