Backyard chickens for Little Chute
We are looking to change the ordinance that doesn't allow chickens (as farm animals) in Little Chute. Limit to about 4 hens, no roosters.
Why is this important?
Raising a few chickens in our backyards has many benefits! Fresh eggs from chickens that are treated humanely and fed a healthy diet. Taking care of chickens with our kids will reach the next generation where food comes from as well as responsibility for another living thing. It will help the environment by reducing bugs and naturally fertilizing our yards and gardens. Hens aren't loud like roosters so they won't be a nuisance, and having just a handful of hens will make it simple to keep their roost clean and the chickens healthy.
