Remove Ballot Access Discrimination and Improve Democracy in Pennsylvania. SB 21 is stuck in committee and deserves to be heard, ask State Senator McIlhinney to bring the bill up for consideration.
Why is this important?
Minority parties in the state of Pennsylvania are subject to unreasonable and unfair requirements for getting candidates on the ballot. The number of signatures required is based on an archaic rule that results in 20,000 - 60,000 signatures required to get on the ballot statewide; this compared to only 2,000 for the major parties. There is a bill (the Voter Choice Act SB 21) to correct this inequity by making signature requirements equal for all candidates.
