Ban Assault Weapons Now

Assault weapons should not be used by civilians and have no place in our cities and towns.

Why is this important?

El Paso. Las Vegas. Dallas. Orlando. Sandy Hook. Aurora. San Bernardino.

What do these horrific shootings have in common? Assault weapons.

Assault weapons were used to murder five people in Dallas, 49 people in Orlando, 26 people in Sandy Hook, 12 people in Aurora, and 14 people in San Bernardino.

Right now, these military-grade weapons are available for purchase online, at trade shows, and through gun brokers across our nation. They have become the weapon of choice for mass shooters.

Assault weapons have no place in our cities and towns. They have no place on our streets.

We need to ban all assault weapons now, while moving quickly to enact commonsense gun reform.

Reasons for signing

  • There is no reason for a civilian to own an assault style weapon. These are killing machines designed for war, and have no place on our streets! The right to own an assault style weapon ENDS where the right to live in a peaceful society free of fear of gun violence BEGINS! Owners rights infringe on individuals right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness! Mass shootings are causing irreparable damage to our people. Gun interests have gotten out of control and we must act!
  • Too many ARs in America. Too many people getting killed going about their daily lives. It's too easy to shoot people. Guns are too available, and glorified. no more ARs 30rd magazines, bumpstocks. People ruin it for others. It's too bad. People just cant handle them. ARs are just waiting to be abused.
  • Sick and tired of the situation - mentally ill people killing innocents just because mass killing weapons are too available. Need to fix mental health and weapons availability.
