Ban Factory Farming!

Factory farming is an industrial animal corporation where large amounts of animals are kept in small cages or fenced off areas for their entire lives. These animals are forced to walk and sleep in their own excrement, and usually do not even see sun or walk in a grassy field. They are fed mostly corn which causes digestive problems and infection. To ensure a high quantity of food, the use of chemical fertilizers containing high amounts of nitrogen are used, that can leach from the fields into rivers and streams.
The toxins from the filthy living conditions of the animals, to the fertilizers used creates air and water pollution as well as causing a higher disease rate in the animals. The dairy, meat and eggs become less nutritious and contain more bacteria, so hormones and antibiotics are used regularly.

Why is this important?

Animals deserve to live a happy and healthy life, not be confined to small places without sun or fresh air. They feel pain and depression and should not be subjected to mutilation and prolonged torture. The food we eat is also affected by their waning health and distress. Cows, pigs, chickens and turkeys, sheep, goats, and rabbits should get fresh air and sun daily and fed nutritional food according to their natural diet.
