Ban Fracking In California
Stop the proposals for fracking in California. There is too much at stake to allow this to happen: Environmental impact (spills, flare offs, run offs), water contamination, earthquakes, unknown chemicals being kept secret by the Industry, lack of accountability/regulation from the Government and the impact to the community and future generations. Fracking has not been proven to be a safe practice and should not be allowed.
Why is this important?
Fracking—injecting massive amounts of water and toxic chemicals into the ground to reach otherwise inaccessible oil and gas—is an extreme process, with catastrophic results. Fracking threatens our water, our air, our farms, and our health—and uses up too much of our already limited water supply.
