Given the health and environmental dangers of hydraulic fracturing, we call upon the Governor and Legislature of Colorado to immediately pass a ban on fracking within the State of Colorado. Resolving the health and environmental issues that will be created by fracking will cost the state more than any financial gains that oil and gas development will bring in. We oppose such a negative bottom line and demand immediate action to protect us, the citizens of Colorado, and the environment that we live in.
Why is this important?
Fracking has been proven harmful to both the Colorado environment and the health of its citizens. It is vital that the governor step up and protect the physical health of the state by stopping a major cause of environmental degradation and climate change.
