In light of the adverse effects on ground water and aquifers in PA where hydrofracking is in full swing, we want a ban on hydrofracking in NY until the methods have been improved and the safety of our environment is insured. Serious health threats, such as methane and carcinogens, have been found near fracking operations. We don't want this to happen in NYS.
Why is this important?
To keep our environment safe from pollutants and our health safe from carcinogens, we want the DEC and Gov. Cuomo to ban hydrofracking in NYS.
