Ban On Graphic Photos In Public Places
To whom it may concern,
Petitioning with your voice and words are the right of all Americans, but photos containing nudity, violence, death, dismemberment, sexual nature, surgical procedures, or gore of any nature are wrong to force on the public. It's time to speak up. Many of us are pro life and understand that there is a difference between pro life supporters and anti abortionist activists who utilize hate speeches and often force graphic photos on the public. These photos are offensive to parents who do not utilize abortion. They are disturbing to our children who are not mature enough to understand what they're seeing. They do not belong in public places. In Rockford, we have a conservative and tactful approach to sheltering our children from harmful images such as inappropriate magazines that are placed in paper bags. These images are no acception. If you agree that this is unacceptable, please enforce this petition to ban such graphic images from public places in Rockford, Il. These signs are shown several times each year without warning and cause tension and discomfort in our city. We aren't asking that you end the petitions, but we do ask that you allow us the right to protect our families and young from these graphic images. I thank you all for your time on this matter and hope to gain your support.
