Ban plastic bags in stores or charge for them 10 cents

Plastic bags from grocery stores cause major pollution of the environment. They endanger life in rivers and the ocean. Many communities have banned them and nobody seems to miss them too much. Therefore the environment looks much cleaner in San Francisco, Eugene, OR and other places where they are banned or a price is charged for them.

Why is this important?

I am concerned about environmental pollution and dangers to wildlife and our food chain. Plastic in the ocean poses major danger to all kinds of sea life and the fisheries world-wide. Our coastal communities and the Alaska economy are very dependent on a healthy fishing industry. Therefore this issue should be of great concern for the well being of all Alaskans and I hope for their understanding and support.
