Ban plastic shopping bags

Let's take a small step toward restoring our environment by banning plastic shopping bags for any and all purchases.

Why is this important?

The absurd amount of plastic we consume to hold anything from a pack of gum to doubled bags of groceries is untenable. There's no reason for it except the low cost to the stores. There was no plastic option not so long ago.

Plastic does not devolve–it will far outlive the human species. We need to get rid of as much as we can. People buy hundreds of dollars worth of groceries at Costco with no bags at all. It's time to have political will and do the right thing.
