Fireworks are a problem. This year their use led to tens of thousands of burned forests in places dear to Oregonians. As climate continues to change the chances of fireworks leading to forest fires increases. The best way to lower the odds on this happening is to ban the sale of fireworks in Oregon.
Why is this important?
Fireworks were the cause of the Eagle Creek Fire in the Columbia Gorge National Scenic area and the area continues to burn. We need a ban of all fireworks in the state to protect our forests and our air quality so that all beings can thrive.
