Ban the use of plastic bags in grocery and retail outfits

Grocery and retail outlets in Colorado should stop using disposable plastic bags in their packaging. Plastic bags are non biodegradable and serve only to contaminate the natural environment. Such ordinance has already passed in California. Let's get with the program.

Why is this important?

This petition is about the sensible use of resources with an eye to ecological preservation. People should sign it as a decisive step toward reclaiming the natural environment from corporate contmainants and preserving it against them. Banning plastic bags would be a great step in reducing unrecyclable trash, biodegradable sacks can be made from potatoes, corn and many of the GMO products we no longer want to consume ourselves. It would take much less petrolium to produce and ship biodegradable bags than plastic bags, which are mostly made from petrolium.
This has worked in San Frascisco, now Austin, TX has banned plastic bags, it is our turn. If everyone brought their canvas bags to the store, each time they shopped, we as a consumer would have already decided this for grocery and retail outlets, but we forget, when we forget we no longer have the option if shopping for more than a few items. Please sign this... my friend started this for me. Please sign it and share it..If this works, my next petition will be to the city on making trafic flow better, I think it is such a waste of petrolium to stop at every light..
