Bank of America: Honor your Promises
I am a teacher at a local high school. Financially strapped and desperate to pay my bills and keep my home, I applied more than a year ago for a home loan from Bank of America. In the beginning, the bank said that I was a perfect candidate for the modification program. Over the months, I was asked to resubmit the same paperwork, the same pay stubs, the same tax information. I was transferred from contact person to contact person ultimately working with more than four people. Two months ago, Bank of America denied my application for the loan modification based on the fact that the "process had taken too long"! They have begun foreclosure proceedings. With no other viable choice, I have hired an attorney to try and defend me against a bank so large that the left hand has no idea what the right hand is doing! I know that I am not alone. There are many of us: small, local, hard-working people who want nothing more than to pay a reasonable mortgage and live their lives without the fear of banksters taking our homes. Please! Help me and the thousands of others in my position have our voices heard by signing this petition. Make Bank of America honor their promises!
Why is this important?
Home loan modifications are being offered by Bank of America but, through a tactic of delay, are then being denied based on the "process taking too long".
