As the former Press Secretary for the Trump administration, Spicer is intensely complicit in the undermining of American democracy. His whitewashing "memoir" should not be supported and promoted in any sense, and the store's Union Square outpost should not provide a forum for such a bad actor. The July 25 book launch and reading by Spicer should be cancelled on moral grounds.
Why is this important?
New Yorkers should be outraged by Spicer's attempts to profit off his time as Press Secretary for the Trump administration. Our city, and Barnes & Noble, should not provide a platform for this individual to build his career on the damage has has caused.
