Prior to signing on to public office, an individual must take an exam on constitutional law, ethics and U.S. history, the results of which should be made public. If the person does not pass they cannot be sworn in.
This "Entrance exam" should be made manditory for all offices that require voter approval.
Constitutional Law exam should include but not be limited to:
Bill of rights
The Constitution of the United States
All Ammendments
The Constitution of the Local Governmnet for which they desire to run.
Why is this important?
This petition will force legislators and lawmakers to know what the basic civil rights of each individual are.
This is a good idea because it will eliminate ignorant or uneducated candidates from the election process, leaving voters with intelligent and ethical politicians.
