Battaglia Should Resign

Leonard Battaglia Does Not Represent Me, He Should Resign

During a recent interview for a newspaper article covering special districts, West County Wastewater District board member Leonard Battagalia made racial slurs toward Asians and African-Americans. In response to Battaglia’s bigotry, the Richmond City Council, the West County Wastewater District, the West County Times and residents of the wastewater district are demanding Battaglia’s resignation for his insulting and offensive remarks. Please add your name to call for Battaglia’s immediate resignation for his expression of prejudice as a public official.

Why is this important?

As an African-American, I am offended by the racial comments made by Leonard Battaglia regarding Asians and African-Americans. As a public official, Battaglia's bigotry and prejudice are an insult to equality and racial justice. He does not deserve to be compensated by diverse ratepayers in the wastewater district.
