BEAUTY PROFESSIONALS/STYLISTS ARE ESSENTIAL

In the words of Amy Howie and sprinkled with my own my thoughts, Please allow licensed Beauty Professionals/ Stylists/ MUA'S/ Estheticians and Waxologists to perform beauty services/ privately with one client in the salon / per stylist at a time starting as of May 1, 2020 in the DMV(DC, MARYLAND, VIRGINIA) Community. ALL necessary precautions and sanitation protocols approved by the State of Maryland, the District of Columbia, Commonwealth of Virginia and the local Boards of Health will be followed. Our Industry NEEDS to be Recognized & Deemed as an Essential business so we can better Serve our Community.
Servicing one client at a time, checking ones temperature upon entrance, maintaining a 6 foot social distancing policy and following all CDC rules/policies (while wearing a mask & gloves) poses little to no risk of spreading the virus, as compared to 20 or more people in a grocery store or 10 plus people at restaurants picking up food.

Why is this important?

THE SURVIVAL OF STYLISTS, BARBERS & PROFESSIONALS IN THE BEAUTY INDUSTRY ARE AT RISK. WE ARE FACING GRAVE FINANCIAL HARDSHIP AND NEED ASSISTANCE. WE PROVIDE AN ESSENTIAL SERVICE TO OUR COMMUNITY...
