To: President Donald Trump, The United States House of Representatives, and The United States Senate
Betrayed by Kerry, will Obama step up to the plate?
Despite overwhelming scientific evidence of its impact on Global Warming, the US State Department, relying on the same companies developing the Keystone XL Pipeline for information, raised no major environmental objections to the controversial Keystone XL pipeline from Canada through the heart of the U.S.
We the people call on Obama to step up to the plate and STOP the Keystone XL project, now and forever.
We call on our Congressional representatives and Senators to demand the President keep every American's trust and protect our land and people from the short term greed of Big Oil which keeps claiming oil extraction and transportation is safe despite a year of spills and fires across the continent.

Why is this important?
I've been in northern Alberta before the demand from US & multinational oil companies made it feasible for the oil barons to rape the land. I've seen the pictures since. Not pretty.
But it is DRIVEN BY CORPORATE GREED.
The State Dept report says: "Approval or denial of any one crude oil transport project ... is unlikely to significantly impact the rate of extraction in the oil sands or the continued demand for heavy crude oil at refineries in the United States." But that is UNTRUE. Not only would a denial send a strong message to Big Oil, it would protect OUR farms, OUR communities, OUR water, OUR air, OUR children.
If Obama REALLY wants to lead our country against global warming, he will REFUSE to approve this pipeline.
