Better Protection for Pedestrians on the Railroads

Pedestrian deaths are a much larger problem than some may think. Please sign this if you believe that something should be done to put a stop to this.

Why is this important?

After reading an article in the St. Louis Post-Dispatch the other day, and the comments on the online article (http://www.stltoday.com/news/local/metro/hundreds-die-walking-the-tracks-each-year/article_b9c8bbcc-f424-559a-a0c4-bee46f8d4fe7.html) I feel that this is a very important topic that needs to be addressed. I live in Webster Groves, I go to church in Kirkwood, it's my hometown and I know so many people who live there and live close to the train tracks. I don't think it's asking too much to ask the Railroad Companies to put in ways to prevent pedestrian deaths and injuries on their tracks (such as putting in fences as just one example).
