Why is this important?
Unlimited, often secret campaign contributions from billionaires and corporations have undermined the core of the democratic process. If we do not act, money will continue to flood into our election process and will overwhelm the voices of voters. This corrosive system can result in a government for the highest bidder, rather than of, by and for the people.
