Corded window blinds are responsible for the death and injury of young children every year. My grandchild tragically died on March 19, 2015 when he was strangled by the cords from the blinds in his room. This heartbreak is preventable. Please, ban the sale of any new window coverings with cords that can’t be kept away from children.
Why is this important?
Legislation has just been introduced in California that will save the lives of young children. AB-282 will stop the sale of corded window coverings in California.
No family should have to endure the loss we’ve suffered. Please, stop the sale of these corded blinds.
