Boaters swim area addition

Dear Muskingum Watershed Conservancy District,

We, the residents and guests of Seneca Lake in Senecaville, Ohio, would like to propose the establishment of a designated swim area around the large island on the Northside of the lake. This location offers a great and convenient place for boaters to shore their boats and provides ample shoreline to entertain families and guests. The area also features numerous trails for children to explore, making it an ideal recreational spot.

In the past, this island was the site for annual fireworks displays, and we believe that enhancing its facilities by mowing the area and placing picnic tables would make it even more appealing. We understand that creating a safe swim area requires a significant process, including the installation of buoys to ensure safe boating practices around the designated zones.

We feel that adding a few more designated swim areas around the lake would greatly benefit the community and provide safe, enjoyable spaces for everyone. Thank you for considering our proposal to improve the recreational offerings at Seneca Lake.
