Burger King buying Tim Horton to take advantage of a tax haven in Canada is self-serving and inappropriate. Taking the tax inversion means that profits from Americans buying Whoppers and other BK products will no longer be tax revenue for the U.S. Tell Congress to stop rewarding companies that dodge their responsibility to support the country that helps makes them successful. New legislation to prohibit these strategies should be passed immediately.
Why is this important?
Congress supports tax inversion to the detriment of individual US tax payers. It can and should stop.
