I ask you to pledge to vote for the opponent of any candidate advocating voter ID, or any other law which attempts to suppress the right of US citizens to vote. I ask you further to demand that candidates sponsor legislation to expand early voting, to update equipment, and to further programs like that of Australia, where voters are automatically registered to vote.
Why is this important?
The right to vote is essential to democratic government. Those who pass laws to take that right away under the guise of "protecting" legitimate voters are actually trying to subvert democracy. They should be voted out of office.
