We call for an Act of Congress signed by the President to return to the original stringent limitations of how many media companies a single corporation can own, in order to protect democracy.
Why is this important?
It's dangerous to allow only a few multi-media-mega-conglomerates to control all avenues deciding what information we receive. There used to be laws greatly limiting the number of media companies a corporation could own in order to protect democracy. Many years of Republican Congress eliminated these limitations. Now, only 5 (like Fox & Disney) feed us right-wing propaganda while calling it, "the liberal media".
