Bring Back Howard Dean as DNC Chair!
Dear (Next Democratic President of the United States),
We believe that the individual who holds the important position of Democratic National Committee Chair should be impartial and unbiased when it comes to making decisions. We also believe that this person should be promoting democratic values and candidates instead of endorsing republican candidates even if they are elected colleagues or friends.
According to a 2015 observer.com article. DNC Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Shultz has ignored 3 Democratic Congressional Candidates and has chosen to endorse her republican colleagues in congress for reelection because she says she'll have to work with them in Congress and above all she considers them friends.
We believe that if DNC Chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz was working on getting Democratic Candidates elected she would not have to worry about getting along with her Congressional Colleagues because they would be Democrats.
We believe endorsing a republican candidate should be a violation of our parties bylaws when you are the National Leader of the Democratic Party.
We want this added to the bylaws.
While many of us feel Chairwoman Schultz has served Democratic Party well as a Congressional Leader, we do not feel the same of her tenure as DNC Chairwoman We believe her time in this position should come to a close.
We also recognize that under Former Vermont Gov. Howard Dean we saw honest and passionate leadership when he held the title of DNC Chairman. Under Dean's Leadership the National Party introduced the the 50 State Strategy which has proven effective to getting new voters registered as Democrats and Democratic Candidates up an down the ballot elected.
The ONLY person who has the ability to remove or appoint the next DNC Chair is you, ( The Democratic President of the United States)
That is why we created this petition.
We are asking you to consider making a new appointment to the Role of DNC Chair. We ask that you consider former DNC Chairman Howard Dean as our choice for this position.
