Bring lawsuit Electoral Colleage unconstitutional
The Equal Protection clauses of the 14th, 15th and 19th amendments to our US Constitution should make the Electoral College unconstitutional because not every citizen has the same vote (Electoral College is disproportional to population). These amendments came after the Electoral College Article in the Constitution, so the later amendments should override the earlier one. As California voters (including me, a woman, so 19th amendment applies), our votes do not count the same as in smaller states, through the Electoral College approach. We think MoveOn should bring a lawsuit quickly to seek injunctive relief against the Electoral College, holding it unconstitutional.
Why is this important?
The popular vote went to Hillary Clinton. She should be our President. The Electoral College is unconstitutional in that it does not represent the people and denies equal rights. It is also outdated given technology, ability to travel, etc. MoveOn with appropriate plaintiffs (including me) should bring suit for injunctive relief to prohibit the Electoral College from voting on the President. This is urgent, before the Electoral College meets in December.
