Bring Taylor McAllister's Muderers to Justice

Taylor McAllister, only 22 years old and a mother to twin daughters, was murdered December 22, 2016 in St. Petersburg, Florida. Her body was carelessly dumped in an alley to be discovered by a man collecting garbage. Her nearly naked body was covered in bruises, bug bites, and tire tracks. She appeared to have finger shaped bruises around her neck. The medical examiner ruled her death a homicide by asphyxiation. Despite DNA evidence and witness testimony pointing towards Robert “Bertie” Butler as her murderer, the only charges that have been filed so far have been three charges of “failure to report a death”. The SPPD has classified Taylor’s case as a Cold Case, despite the fact that they have never given their full effort to the investigation to begin with. This case must be reopened and charges filed so that Taylor’s murderer, and his accomplices, are brought to true justice.
Why is this important?
Taylor had so much life left to live still and no one had the right to take away her future from her. They not only stole Taylor's life, but they stole a mother, a daughter, a sister, and a friend. When those involved in a murder are only charged with the misdemeanor of failing to report a death, it sends the message that what they did is ok. When a murder investigation is classified as cold after less then 4 years, it shows citizens of the city that their justice system is failing them. By signing this petition you are making it known that you demand justice for Taylor McAllister, demand that the St. Petersburg Police Department do their job, and demand that such horrible acts of violence be properly prosecuted.
