Bring The Lottery To Utah
The people in the state of Utah would like the lottery!! A pool was taken in the 1980's and at that time 55% of the people polled wanted the lottery! The State of Utah refused to bring this to a vote, hence they were deciding Utah's fate!
The lottery would bring revenue to the State of Utah instead of millions of dollars being spent in the neighboring states of Idaho, Wyoming, Colorado and Arizona. Bringing the lottery to Utah will increase the revenue and tax base. This petition proposes that the State of Utah put forth to the citizens of Utah a vote to change the Utah Constitution to allow a State lottery . The lottery would put forth a percentage towards Education ( Schools, Teacher wages and per student fees, education programs for special needs students, and equipment for classrooms i.e. science equipment and media laptops or tablets provided for each student without charging the parent ) along with a percentage for the building and maintenance of the city, county, highways and freeways of the state.

Why is this important?
Providing the people in the State of Utah a lottery, in which a percentage of the lottery helps fund education and the highways within the State of Utah.
