Broadcast Networks we ask that you develop a fact checking policy for political advertising and refuse political ads that ignore, fabricate or otherwise undermine verifiable facts or other public knowledge.
Why is this important?
The broadcast networks are using bandwidth provided by the public and must serve the public interest. With unlimited campaign funds, and networks willing to play for pay, the propogandists in our political system can say whatever they want. The only beneficiary of this doublespeak is the broadcast network. We are looking to the broadcast networks to show leadership and refuse political ads that ignore, fabricate or otherwise undermine verifiable facts or other public knowledge.
